Safety & Insurance
Your team's safety is non-negotiable. Every event we deliver follows strict safety protocols, is fully insured, and is managed by trained professionals.
Risk Assessment
Every activity and venue undergoes a thorough risk assessment before any event. We evaluate terrain, weather exposure, equipment condition, and participant requirements to ensure a safe environment.
Trained Facilitators
All our facilitators hold current first aid certifications. Adventure activity leaders carry additional qualifications in rope work, water safety, or outdoor leadership as required by the activity.
Equipment Inspection
Equipment is inspected before and after every use. We follow manufacturer maintenance schedules and replace gear proactively. No worn or damaged equipment ever reaches an event.
On-Site First Aid
Every event has a fully stocked first aid kit and at least one trained first-aider. For high-intensity or adventure activities, a dedicated medic or paramedic is on standby.
Public Liability Insurance
We carry comprehensive public liability insurance covering all activities, venues, and participants. Certificates of insurance are available on request for your compliance team.
Emergency Procedures
Detailed emergency response plans are prepared for every event location. Our team knows the nearest medical facilities, maintains emergency contacts, and conducts pre-event safety briefings.
Participant Briefings
Before every activity, participants receive a clear safety briefing covering rules, boundaries, and emergency signals. We ensure everyone understands before we begin.
Weather Monitoring
We track weather forecasts in the lead-up to every event. Activities are modified or postponed when conditions are unsafe. During cyclone season (Nov-Apr), we have specific contingency protocols.
Our Commitment
Participant-to-Facilitator Ratios
We maintain strict ratios based on activity risk level. Standard activities: 1 facilitator per 20 participants. Adventure activities: 1 per 10. Water-based activities: 1 per 8. These ratios are non-negotiable regardless of group size.
Venue Safety Standards
Every venue we use is assessed for accessibility, emergency exits, shade, hydration points, and proximity to medical facilities. We do not operate at venues that fail our safety criteria, regardless of cost or convenience.
Tropical Climate Considerations
Mauritius heat and humidity require special attention. We schedule high-intensity outdoor activities for cooler parts of the day, ensure adequate hydration stations, provide shade breaks, and train facilitators to recognise heat-related illness.
Continuous Improvement
After every event, we conduct a debrief that includes safety review. Incidents (even minor ones) are logged, analysed, and used to improve protocols. We update risk assessments annually and after any significant change in activity or venue.
